چکیده
Nowadays, low water-to-cement (w/c) ratio has been put into widespread use in engineering practice. However, w/c may give rise to high self-desiccation, which lead the decrease of early-age cracking resistance. Investigating impact on resistance is utterly meaningful better understand mechanism concrete. corresponding investigations remain lacking, especially when ring test utilized. In present study, tests for three concrete mixtures with different ratios were conducted investigate from multiple parameters. Results showed that (i) development rate shrinkage mixture W50 was slower than W33 and W40; (ii) value residual stress decreased increased; (iii) relaxed all developed rapidly at very early age, reached maximum quickly; (iv) increased age.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Effect of Water-cement Ratio on Corrosion of Reinforced Concrete
Corrosion of reinforced concrete is one of the major problems in the construction industry causing premature deterioration of concrete structures well before their service life. This has placed incredible financial burden on many projects and also placed safety of users at risk. A research work was carried out to evaluate the effect of water cement ratio on corrosion of steel in reinforced conc...

This paper presents the results of an experimental study dealing with the influence of water/cement (w/c) ratio and curing temperature on the autogenous deformations and self-induced stresses in early-age concrete. Two concrete mixes, w/c ratio 0.33 and 0.37, were cured isothermally at 10, 20, 30 and 40°C. The linear deformations of a free specimen and the self-induced stresses of a fully restr...
